Welcome to Second Grade! 

My name is Kirsten Yanez. This is my 7th year teaching. I taught 3 years in fourth grade, 2 years in Pre-K, and this is my 2nd year in fabulous Second Grade! 

I'm a proud product of North East ISD, from Longs Creek Elementary to Harris Middle School, then graduated from James Madison High school in 2013. Go Mavs! I received my Bachelors degree in Education from UTSA in 2017. Go 'Runners!

I married my high school sweetheart in 2019 and we have wild one year old, Vincent! We have 2 Pitbulls, Hazle and Izzy. I love the color teal and giraffes are my favorite animal! 

I am super excited about being your Second Grade teacher this year! I believe the brain at a young age is a sponge and I would love to fill it with so much knowledge! This is going to be such a great year!
