Welcome! I'm one of the school counselors at Bulverde Creek Elementary serving students in first, third, and fifth grade. My schedule varies daily and includes classroom guidance, group and individual counseling, and leading the Section 504 Committee.

I was born and raised in San Antonio and graduated from Churchill High School here in NEISD. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Learning and Development from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

During my spare time I enjoy exercising, restaurants, and spending time outdoors with my husband and daughter!

The 2020-2021 school year marks my 15th year in Texas public schools and many new opportunities to collaborate with the students, parents, staff, and community of Bulverde Creek!!!

Howdy Parents and Students!  My name is Melinda DeLeon and I am so excited to be a Bulverde Creek Texan!  This is my 16th year at Bulverde Creek.  I have worked here as a first grade teacher, second grade teacher and now I work as a school counselor.

I grew up in Karnes City, TX and moved to San Antonio to attend college at UTSA.  I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in School Counseling.

When I am not at school, I enjoy exercising, reading, shopping and most of all, spending time with my family.

My schedule varies daily, but my main responsibilities include: classroom guidance, individual and group counseling, coordinating state testing, and coordinating the PAL mentor program.  During the 2020-2021 school year, I will work with students in kindergarten, 2nd grade and 4th grade.
