Elsa Wenzel is an enthusiastic educator who is thrilled to join the team at Bulverde Creek Elementary.  Holding a Bachelor's Degree in teaching from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Elsa brings nearly two decades of experience in Texas schools to her role as a 3rd grade teacher.  Her dedication to education has been recognized with the prestigious "Campus Teacher of the Year" award three times, and the honor of "District Teacher of the Year" on two occasions.  She has also been awarded  PTA's Honorary Lifetime Membership award for her dedication to children and the community. 

Elsa and her husband, both proud graduates of North East ISD, have been married for 23 years.  They are the proud parents of twin daughters who recently graduated from Reagan High School and are currently attending Lakeview Community College.  The Wenzel household is also home to three cats and a beloved dog named Hermione.  

Outside the classroom, Elsa enjoys a variety of activities.  She loves spending quality time with her family, delving into good books, staying active through exercise, and exploring the beauty of national parks. Additionally, she finds joy in decorating and maintaining a tidy home.
