Mr. Dennis W. Chapman

Howdy Texans! My name is Dennis Chapman. I am one of the PE Teacher here at Bulverde Creek!!! This will be my second year as part of the Bulverde Creek Team , and the start of my 20th year in education. 

I am a “Military Brat” and was born in Champaign, IL. During my fathers career in the Air Force,  I lived in many different states. Upon graduation from High School, I received a Track & Field Scholarship, for High Jump, to the University of Texas at Pan American. I later transferred to UTSA where I earned my Bachelor’s degree.

I have been married to my wife Debra for 26 years and we have one son, Michael.  Michael will be going into Kindergarten at Monroe May Elementary which is the same school where my wife teaches STEM. He was accepted in the Dual Language program and is very excited to learn another language. We enjoy spending our free time camping, hiking, going to the river, and visiting our many 50 states. This summer we had a great time exploring the beauty of South Dakota!

I am an avid and competitive cyclist. I recently competed in the LeTape Race coming in 10th place in my age category. My other hobbies include kayaking, paddleboarding, archery, and believe it or not collecting shoes!!I am looking forward to making a positive impact by inspiring all of our students to find their unique talents and bring out their inner strengths.
