Churchill High School graduate Andrea Williams will soon be a member of the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame. She was announced as part of the Class of 2024 this week and will officially be inducted during a ceremony in May.

“I had the great opportunity to play at Churchill High School and then at Texas A&M,” said Williams. “It really is a shared honor and I’m so grateful to be here.”

Williams was a standout in volleyball and basketball at Churchill, where she graduated in 1992. She went on to play both sports at Texas A&M University and became the first Aggie to ever letter in both sports in the same season.

She later worked as an associate commissioner for the Big Ten Conference, commissioner of the Big Sky Conference and later served as the chief operating officer for the College Football Playoff in 2018. In 2021, Williams was appointed chief experience officer for the Utah Jazz

Her former volleyball coach at Churchill, Wanda Bingham, was inducted into the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame last year.

Congratulations, Andrea!
