I love 4th grade and so will you! I've been teaching amazing students for 20 years. In 1998 I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in Speech Pathology. I returned to school in 2001 to obtain my teaching certificate from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I've taught multiple grades, including kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I'm passionate about teaching and love to see the "a-ha" moments when my students learn and master new skills!
In addition to being a teacher, I'm also a proud NEISD wife and Coker mom! My husband is an Instructional Technology Specialst in the district. He works closely with teachers and administrators at MacArthur High School, Garner Middle School, and the Academy of Create Education (ACE). We have three beautiful Coker Cubs. Our two oldest girls successfully completed their elementary years at Coker. Then moved to Bradley MS and graduated from Churchill HS. Our oldest daughter is a junior at Texas A&M studying biomedical sciences with the goal of becoming a pediatric doctor. Our middle daughter is entering her freshman year at Northwest Vista College and is excited to explore all of her career options. Our youngest son is a 5th grader at Coker in the dual language program. It's hard to believe that this will be the last year that we have an active Coker Cub.
I'm looking forward to an exciting year with lots of learning, laughing, and growing!
