I love 4th grade and so will you! I've been teaching amazing students for 20 years. In 1998 I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in Speech Pathology. I returned to school in 2001 to obtain my teaching certificate from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I've taught multiple grades, including kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I'm passionate about teaching and love to see the "a-ha" moments when my students learn and master new skills!
In addition to being a teacher, I'm also a proud NEISD wife and Mom! My husband is an Instructional Technology Specialst in the district. He works closely with teachers and administrators at MacArthur High School, Garner Middle School, and the Academy of Create Education (ACE). We have three former Coker Cubs. Our oldest daughter is a senior at Texas A&M studying biomedical sciences with the goal of becoming a pediatric doctor. Our middle daughter is a sophomore at Northwest Vista College and is considering a career as a dental hygienist. Our youngest son just finished his academic Coker career and is entering the world of the Bradley bears.
I love teaching in such an amazing district, and I'm looking forward to an exciting year with lots of learning, laughing, and growing!
