Happy holidays from Garner Middle School seventh grader Estelle Vargas!
Her original artwork was selected as the middle school level winner in the Region 20 holiday card contest. She was surprised in class today with a framed print of her art, balloons, a Visa gift card and a dozen holiday cards.
Estelle says she created her art of reindeer pulling Santa’s sleigh in about two hours with colored pencils. The results speak for themselves!
ESC-20 is one of 20 regional education service agencies within Texas that assist school districts. Hundreds of holiday art submissions came in through 96 school districts across 19 counties. Region 20 staff members then picked their favorite versions from the elementary, middle and high school categories.
Estelle’s art will be sent out to hundreds of superintendents on behalf of Region 20 in the weeks ahead.
