I am a Special Education teacher here at the NEAC.  My classroom is the School Within A School or SWAS classroom, a highly structured class which uses clearly defined limits and is based on building relationships with students, empowering leadership and helping them to create goals and accomplish them no matter how big or small while here at the NEAC.  Having been an athlete and coach, holding students accountable for any negative action and modeling behaviors  helps them become more aware of disruptive  or inappropriate behaviors.  We are all learning daily, and my goal is to help the students change one day at a time.
