Mrs. Kari Redmann
Hello! My name is Kari Redmann and I am honored to be a part of the Oak Meadow Mavericks. I teach Music PreK-5.
I am a Luther College graduate (born and raised in Minnesota, attended college in Iowa) and have had the wonderful opportunity of traveling around the world with my family while teaching. I have lived in Minnesota, Iowa, Colorado, Virginia, Hawaii, Japan, and now Texas for the second time. We have really enjoyed learning about and living the different cultures we have experienced.
My husband and I have three boys and 2 Scottish Terriers. Our oldest son graduated from Texas Lutheran University and is a HS teacher and coach in Schulenburg, TX, our middle son is a graduate of The University of the Incarnate Word and anxious to start a job in Finance , and our youngest is a student at Concordia University, Austin where he is studying to be a Director of Christian Education. They LOVE baseball, football, soccer, and music/theatre. We are a busy family.
I have always made music a part of my life. When I was a very young girl, I loved to sing and then learned to play the piano. I really enjoyed band, choir, and musical theatre and tried to play as many instruments as I could. College was great fun as I learned and performed with great musicians.
I am fully certified in ORFF Schulwerk and am beginning the training for Kodaly. I am constantly attending workshops and conferences at the local, state, and national levels and am always visiting with others who teach and live music. I have so much more to learn!
I enjoy sharing my passion for the fine arts with my students immensely! It is GREAT FUN to "sing, say, dance, and play!" each and every day!!
