This is my 19th year in elementary education, with 11 of those in "The Forest" as a fifth grade teacher, and the last two in 2nd grade. I am tremendously excited about my new move to Special Education.
Both of my children attended Hidden Forest, and I just loved being able to see them each and every day. Jase is now 19 and in his sophomore year at SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY in Georgetown where he was recruited to play baseball. GO PIRATES!! He is a finance major/math minor and is looking into the field of actuarial science. My daughter, Blythe(who is now taller than me), is 15 and in HER sophomore year at NESA, the Northeast School of the Arts, where she is a dance major. My husband, Michael is currently the math dean at Wood Middle School in NorthEast.
And. we absolutely can not forget the three sweet babies at our house. We have Blythe's Chihuahua, Emily, our Italian Greyhound, Apollo, and one CRAZY cat, Loki, who has most defnitely earned his name.
When we aren't at dance practice or baseball games, I love gardening, or atleast I TRY to love gardening. Our yard is an ever-changing mix of different flower beds and attempts at attracting the birds around here in our neighborhood. This year will see even more changes for my family, and we are so excited to see where life is taking us.
