Hi!
My name is Rene Ordonez, and I’m thrilled to be starting my ninth year of teaching at Hidden Forest Elementary! Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching Second grade, Fourth grade, Kindergarten, and First grade. This year, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be teaching fifth grade, and I can’t wait to grow and learn alongside my incoming students.

My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and positive classroom environment—one that inspires curiosity and fosters success for every learner. My family and I relocated from Katy, Texas to San Antonio in 2017, and we’ve loved every minute of living in this beautiful city. We’ve made countless memories and learned so much along the way. My husband, Ramon, and I will be celebrating 20 years of marriage this year, and we’ve been together for a total of 33 wonderful years. We have four amazing daughters—Megan (30), Brittany (28), Abigail (19), and Isabelle (17)—and I’m also a proud "Lolli" to three wonderful grandchildren: two grandsons and one granddaughter.

When I’m not in the classroom, I cherish spending quality time with my family and being near the water—it’s where I find peace and joy.
