Hi! My name is Risa Brown.  I grew up in San Antonio and attended NEISD schools elementary through high school. Both my parents are teachers and I grew up having a strong passion for teaching as well!

I received my Bachelor's degree from Texas State University in Early Childhood Education. I received my ESL certification through NEISD.

This is my 15th year teaching at Huebner!  I have experience in early childhood education with PPCD (Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities). I did field work and student teaching in kindergarten and first grade.  

I love to read, watch movies, cook, paddle board, and spend time with my family and friends!  I have an almost 3-year-old son, Pierce, and he is the center of my husband and my world! We also love to play with our yellow lab, Sofie.

I love being a part of the Kindergarten team!  I am very fortunate to be working with such a strong, supportive community here at Huebner!
