Mrs. Lauren Smith

Welcome to a new year, Falcons! This is my 7th year of teaching, and my second year at Hidden Forest. I've taught Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade. I'm thrilled to be teaching 2nd grade this year!

My family and I moved to the San Antonio area last summer from Bozeman, Montana. While we're still adjusting to the heat, we are excited about all of the new opportunities this area has to offer. I've been married to my husband, Chad, for 10 years. A fun fact about us is that we met in 3rd grade! We have a 2.5-year-old, Barrett, and an Australian Shepherd named Maisie. Needless to say, there is never a dull moment in our house! We can't wait to welcome another boy to our family in September.

It is my passion to help students lay the foundation they need to become well-rounded individuals who are equipped with a solid education and important life skills. I'm honored to be part of the Hidden Forest community, and look forward to a wonderful year ahead!
