Students practice a variety of writing tasks in a variety of genres. Students plan, draft, and craft complete written compositions on a regular basis. Students edit papers for clarity, engaging language, and the correct use of the conventions and mechanics of written English. Students read extensively in multiple genres - analyzing the works, and interpreting the possible influences of historical and cultural context.
