Mrs. Jennings

   I am excited that this will be my 19^th year at Reagan and my 22^nd year teaching.  I am a native San Antonian and a proud product of NEISD.  Before becoming a teacher, I spent seven years in financial analysis and commercial lending at Frost National Bank.  Through volunteering as a mentor for elementary school students, and through public outreach in my hobby of astronomy, I discovered my passion for teaching and working with students in math and science.  When I decided to change careers, I applied for and was accepted as a NASA Scholar.  This was a NASA sponsored program that enabled me to earn a master’s degree in teaching with a concentration in integrated mathematics and science.  I am thrilled to have the honor of teaching the mathematics of “rocket science” to our future scientists.

I live here in Stone Oak with my husband, who is also a mathematics teacher, and a daughter who is a Regan Rattler alumnus and is now a sophemore at Texas Tech Honors College. I also have three precious, mischievous, dachshunds (that are insistent on having most of my attention when I am at home).  I also have several telescopes and during school breaks I can frequently be found on road trips to West Texas, National Parks, and anywhere else I can find dark skies and nature.
