Mr. Jason Decker

Hi students and parents,

This is my seventh year teaching and third year at Wetmore.  Prior to this, I spent four years teaching fifth grade at El Dorado Elementary.  I am excited about the upcoming school year! Before I became a teacher, I spent 12 years in the Air Force. My first six years were as a firefighter and the last six as a aircraft mechanic.  I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree from Texas A&M-SA University, and Associate of Science Degrees in Fire Science and Aviation Maintenance from the Community College of the Air Force.

I have been married to my wife Bernadette for 16 years. We have three sons who are 17, 14 and 10 and they keep us busy throughout the year with bowling, soccer, swim and various other activies.
