Welcome to my webpage! Read to learn all about me!
From the time I was 4 years old, I have always aspired to be a teacher and would spend my allowance at office supply stores stocking up on the latest pens and Sharpies. There was never a doubt as to what I would be when I grew up.
My personal schooling began in Marble Falls, Texas, a small town about an hour north on 281. Growing up in a small town instilled my love of close-knit communities.
After high school, I attended a smaller school, Blinn College in Bryan, Texas, before transferring to San Antonio. I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelors of ArtDegree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Please visit http://www.utsa.edu to learn more about my Alma Mater! Go Roadrunners! I have a certification in teaching Early Childhood-4th grade as well as English as a Second Language.
I am proud to be in NEISD, and I am especially honored to be a part of the Ranger family. I spent 11 years at Regency Place Elementary, just a few minutes away. I was looking for a change, and I feel blessed that that change landed me at Wetmore Elementary. I am excited to be starting my 2nd year here, and I am proud to say that I am a Wetmore Ranger!
When I am not at school, I can usually be found spending time with my husband, Mr. Korzekwa (or Mr. K, as my students usually call him), my sweet boys, Luke Bradley Korzekwa, who turned SIX in September and Matthew James Korzekwa, who turned TWO in September. Of course, I cannot forget my dog daughter, Millie, a Shih-tzu, who loves to snuggle and play! I value time with family and friends and also enjoy reading, shopping, creating activities for my class, decorating, and scrapbooking.
I look forward to meeting each and every one of you, and I am excited about the upcoming school year!
