This is my 25th year in teaching!  I have taught every grade from PreK to 5th Grade, and have been an Instructional Interventionist for 8 years in NEISD.  I am so excited to be a part of the the Wetmore Rangers as a first grade teacher!   I am passionate about teaching and I love watching little minds shape and grow into wonderful little readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, etc. It thrills me to see a student who has been struggling with a concept finally understand and "get it." I will do everything that I can to help your child learn and be successful, but more importantly, to develop a love for learning!   I am excited to work this year with Wetmore's wonderful first grade students and their families. 

I attended Texas Tech University and Angelo State University and graduated from Angelo State University in 1994.  I am a lifelong learner and I love to go to professional development classes to help myself be the best teacher that I can be.  I am married to a wonderful man named David, who is patient and listens when I talk about my students and how wonderful they are.  I  also have two sons, Jacob and Joseph.  Jacob is 26 and Joseph is 22.  Jacob is living in San Angelo and Joseph lives in San Antonio.  We have two dogs and one cat that are my joys!   I love being outside, hiking, camping, and traveling.  One of my favorite things in the world is going to historic places!  My family complains that every vacation has to have a museum, a historic site,  or a reinactment to go with it.    

To wrap things up, I have always loved kids.  I have taught children's choir, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, been a Cub Scout den leader,  and even had an in home day care when I stayed home with my two babies.  Teaching has always been my dream and passion for as long as I can remember!  I am excited about what this year will bring and I can't wait to see how my Wetmore first graders will grow!
