Mr. Sergio Guerrero

My name is Sergio Guerrero, Jr.  I have been teaching for 13 wonderful years.  I have worked in nearly every grade level and have experience with general education, alternative learning, and social and emotional learning.  Currently, I am the STEPS Teacher on our beautiful campus and truly enjoy working with your students.  STEPS is an acronym that stands for Steps To Effectively Promote Success. In our classroom we focus on social skills, cooperative learning, and character building. 

I recently graduated from Texas A&M University San Antonio this past May 2024 with my master’s in applied behavior analysis. I am planning on taking the board examination to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I also graduated with my undergrade in Interdisciplinary Studies from TAMU-SA in 2010.

After graduating in 2010, I began servicing children with special needs at a local Charter School.  After my first year of teaching, I was hired at NEISD to work with our at-risk population.  I truly enjoy my job and pride myself on building trust between students, parents, and teachers.

I'm looking forward to the 2024-25 school year and cannot wait to see what our future has in store for us.
