Mr. Sergio Guerrero

Mr. Sergio Guerrero

My name is Sergio Guerrero, Jr.  I have been teaching for 12 wonderful years.  I have worked in nearly every grade level and have experience with general education, alternative learning, and Social and Emotional Learning.  Currently I am the STEPS Teacher on our beautiful campus and truly enjoy working with your students.  STEPS is an acrynom that stands for Steps To Effectively Promote Success. In our classroom we focus on social skills, cooperative learning, and character building.

I graduated from Texas A&M University San Antonio in 2010 with a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies.  Recently I decided to return to TAMUSA for a master’s in applied behavior analysis with aspirations of being a BCBA. I am wrapping up my first full year of course study where I maintained a 4.0 GPA and earned an academic scholorship for my final year. I will be strating my practicum and supervision hours through NEISD and I look forward to servicing students by using my newly aquired knowledge.

After graduating in 2010, I began servicing children with special needs at a local Charter School.  After my first year of teaching, I was hired at NEISD working with our at-risk population.  I truly enjoy my job and pride myself of building trust between students, parents, and teachers.

I'm looking forward to the 2023-24 school year and cannot wait to see what our future has in store for us.

If you have any questions, concerns, or simply need ideas for managing behavior; feel free to reach out to me at any time!  My school email is
