Math Tools

  • Students will be working on many different problem-solving activities. My expectation is that students are able to communicate their thinking on how they solve a problem on paper instead of just saying “I just knew it.” When we problem-solve, students will be expected to:

    1. Read the problem.

    2. Underline the Question.

    3. Circle the IMPORTANT INFORMATION and KEY WORDS.

    4. Make a PLAN.  (Equation to help you solve it)

    5. Solve using PICTURES, NUMBERS, and LABELS/WORDS.

    6. LABEL and BOX you answer.
