    Creative Collaborative Show

    October

    • Experience the artistry of NESA's creative writing majors through a live cross-collaborative show of poems, tales, and scripts as other NESA majors bring the creative writing works to life onstage through dance, music, acting and more. The show blends literature and performance, although the structure remains the same every year, it is always new and fresh, with our student showrunners creating a show around a theme they select. Many of the pieces performed have won several regional, state, and national writing awards and publications. Don't miss this fresh, thrilling event.

    Steppin’ into the Holidays Dance Show

    December

    • Step into winter magic as NESA dancers transport you to a festive wonderland with their dazzling holiday show. Featuring breathtaking choreography and classic holiday tunes, this whimsical performance promises excitement, joy, and the true spirit of the season.

    Experience the magic of the holidays as soon as you enter the festively decorated theater lobby of the LEE Performing Arts Center. With twinkling lights, trees, whimsical decor, and uplifting carols setting the mood, this show promises an evening of wonder, excitement and heartwarming performances for the whole family.

    The show opens with a high energy jazz dance featuring students adorned in spectacular costumes that reflect the spirit of the season. From traditional Rockette-inspired kick lines to lively tap routines infused with a holiday twist, the dancers showcase their versatility and skill in a variety of dance styles throughout the performance.

    NESA dancers gain immense benefits from performing in the annual holiday show; developing skills, expressing creativity, building confidence, team building and more. An enriching opportunity to grow as artists and spread holiday cheer, the show allows dancers to shine, grow, and contribute to the community.

    Chamber Concert

    December

    • Student musicians fully produce the North East School of the Arts annual Chamber Concert "Boundless," showcasing 20th century works, video game music, rock and more. Chamber groups audition and arrange pieces with minimal direction, taking ownership of all aspects from selection to performance. Experience the creativity and talent of NESA's young instrumentalists.

    Playoffs - Creative Writing 10 minute Play Festival

    March

    • NESA's Playoffs festival features 100% student-written, directed, and performed 10-minute plays across 3 stages over 3 days. These works from NESA playwriting students come alive through open auditions, which are available to NESA, LEE, ISA, and STEM students. As a cross-major collaboration effort, Playoffs packs NESA's theater with sold-out crowds eagerly awaiting original stories brought from script to stage, leading to prestigious national and state accolades; including the Blank Theater National Young Playwright Award and The Texas Thespian Playwriting Award.

    Footnotes: A Concert of Dance

    • Be captivated by the artistry of dance at NESA's "Footnotes" concert, featuring gifted student dancers showcasing diverse styles and choreography by renowned choreographers. These young performers highlight their skill and passion through rhythm, expression, and grace. An evening where creativity blends seamlessly across genres on stage, students show off their passion, skill, and dedication to the art of dance.

    The annual dance concert provides NESA performers with impactful experiences beyond the stage, establishing their development as artists and individuals. Benefits include professional exposure, collaboration, performance confidence, networking, personal growth, and portfolio building, allowing students to fully explore their talents within a supportive community.

    With dynamic lighting, immersive visuals, and an atmosphere that pulses with anticipation, "Footnotes: A Concert of Dance" is more than a concert; it's a showcase of dedication, talent, and the boundless possibilities of dance.     800 LB Film Festival

    • Experience the extraordinary talent of emerging filmmakers at the 800 LB Film Festival, showcasing NESA high school cinema students' short films across diverse genres. These young storytellers dedicate themselves to producing captivating narratives and visual storytelling, pushing their creative boundaries. Attend this immersive event as the next generation of visionary directors unveil their cinematic artistry on screen.

  • NESA Box Office Policies

    • As noted on tickets and online receipts, all sales are final – no refunds or exchanges.
    • Online sale dates are noted on each show’s promotional poster.
    • NESA Box Office accepts CASH and CREDIT CARDS only.
    • NESA Box Office is open 1 hour prior to each show. During this time, tickets may be purchased for that particular show only.
    • STAR card redemptions may be made in person at the PAC during box office hours.
    • Children 3 and under are free if they sit on a lap.
    • We do not offer any type of ticket discounts.
    • We do not accept phone reservations.
    • NESA Box Office staff and volunteers are not allowed to take ticket requests outside of normal box office hours.
    • You may print your online ticket or present it digitally on your phone. In an attempt to be more Green, Box Office would prefer that you print your tickets at home or use the digital ticket image on your phone.
    • Wheelchair seats are empty spaces for wheelchairs and are not actual seats. Companion seats are available beside these wheelchair seats. As per ADA guidelines, seats labeled as companion seats are for companions of disabled guests only.  If wheelchair or companion seats are purchased online by non-disabled parties, these parties may be asked to move to other seats.
    • For patrons with limited mobility, we now have “Accessible” seats available for purchase online.
    • If you purchased tickets that you no longer need, you may sell them privately, or you may donate them back to the NESA Box Office for us to sell. These ticket donations help us seat patrons during high demand shows.  Proceeds from these ticket sales benefit NESA and are very appreciated!
