Matthew Mann
Welcome to Mr. Mann's web page, and thanks for visiting!
After graduating from St. Mary's University with a BA in History in 1998, I began my teaching career at the Winston School San Antonio where I taught high school English and coached golf. After two years at WSSA, I was offered the opportunity to join the St. Anthony Catholic High School community as Dean of Students from 2001 through 2004.
While at St. Anthony I met my future wife, Susan, as a graduate student in the University of the Incarnate Word's Masters in Literature progam. Susan and I were married in 2002, and after I completed my MA, we headed off together to teach at the American International School of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. During four years at AISJ, I taught AP World History among other Social Studies classes.
I have been teaching at MacArthur since the 2012-2013 school year. Three years ago I teamed up with Jacob Anderson, a fellow Mac teacher, to head up a new MacArthur Model United Nations club. I'm looking forward to a great 2018-2019 school year!
