I am so excited to be back for another fabulous school year in fourth grade!  Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I grew up in the small town of Riddle, Oregon.  I attended Azusa Pacific University near Pasadena, California.  I started off majoring in Bio-Chemistry with the hopes of becoming an aquatic veterinarian....and as you see, my plans have changed.  While attending A.P.U., I became involved with a children's ministry after-school program and realized that my true love was teaching.  I have never regretted the change in plans, and love being a teacher.

This will be my 25th year teaching.  I began my career in Bellflower, California teaching Kindergarten.  I have taught in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and here in San Antonio at Jackson Keller Elementary School.   I am so happy to be back for my 17th year at Wilderness Oak Elementary and I love teaching 4th grade!

I met my husband Kevin in college and married shortly after.  I have two beautiful daughters.  My oldest daughter Jennica will be a junior in college and my youngest daughter Lyric is a senior at Reagan High School.  We have three pets.  Harley, our spunky miniature dachshund, Pedro, our little rescue puppy(we found him running up the median of 281), and our newest member of the family, Tucker, who we rescued from Austin Pets Alive.  They are the source of many funny stories I love to tell in class.

I look forward to getting to know each and every student and family in my class!  We are going to have an amazing and fun year!
