Bachelor Degree in Spanish Bilingual Certification

Mrs. Elsa Luna

Welcome to First Grade! I am proud to say that I have been here at Regency Place Elementary for 19 years.  It is a blessing to work with a group of professionals dedicated to their careers, who strive for each student to reach the highest of their potential. I am grateful for the opportunity to do what I love with the hope that I may inspire, encourage, and support those around me. Our students and their families motivate me to give my best in my profession. They are my inspiration and motivation to give my services as a teacher. I hope to empower my students with the learning tools to succeed in the school setting and in the real world.

I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Permain Basin in Odessa, Tx. I have my certificate to work with students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. I have been certified as a bilingual teacher. My love for education started in my child development class in high school. I had the opportunity to work in different classroom settings. Prior to my teaching certificate, I worked for five years as a teacher's assistant. It was a great learning experience. I also worked for five years as a certified teacher in Ector County and went on for nineteen wonderful years in NEISD. Teaching is a great profession because we never stop learning in our ever-changing world. I am inspired to continue to serve and to provide a safe and positive learning experience for my students.

My passion is to work with bilingual students. I hope that my students build a love for books and good self-esteem. I hope that my students respect each other's differences and value life. That they may respect and care for people and for our environment. I am excited about working with your child.  Together we will help them develop their skills and talents. Parents, with your support, I hope to create a positive learning experience this 2022-2023 school year. May our students be proud of their accomplishments and inspired to thrive in school.
