Mrs. Julie Gentry

Welcome, I am so glad you are here! My name is Julie Gentry and I am so excited and looking forward to this year as a 3rd grade teacher here at Bulverde Creek Elementary. This is my fourth year teaching, but it will be my first year teaching in NEISD. I have previously worked for NEISD as a KIN Assistant and KIN Director. I am so glad to be back in the BEST DISTRICT!! I grew up in the district and graduated from MacArthur High School, so it feels good to be home.

I attend the University of Texas at San Antonio and have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. My passion is reading and I hope that I can help kids discover a love for reading. I hope that the students in my classroom not only come to learn something new but also leave feeling heard, loved, and cared for. I can't wait to learn from the students in my classroom as well. Each year I teach, I manage to gain a huge wealth of information I didn't know. 

In my spare time, you can find me hanging out with my husband and our two young boys. We love to go to the pool, travel to Rockport, watch movies, and laugh a lot. I love true crime documentaries, being creative, going to concerts, and taking day trips. 

I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
