Hi there! 

My name is Lauren Petrutsas and I am SO excited to be a part of the Northwood family. I was born and raised in San Antonio and love the culture that resides within this city. I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio, or UTSA, with a degree in Early Childhood education and have an EC-6 generalist certification.

This will be my second year teaching at Northwood in second grade. I also have a wealth of experience in grades K-4 working alongside SPED and inclusion classrooms. I have student taught within Boerne ISD, NEISD, NISD and SAISD. While all districts are great, I believe NEISD is the very best. I feel lucky to be a part of this family.

Some of my favorite things to do outside of school are to try new restaurants, hangout with my family and walk my sweet dog, Mino. I love to travel but my very favorite place to go is Houston to see my now two year old niece, Eleni. 

I'm ready for a great year and to build my class into a family!
