Mrs. Carter

Hello, I'm Mrs. Carter! Although this is my first year at Hidden Forest, I have been teaching for the past 5 years. I spent my first year in 4th grade and then moved down to 2nd, which has stolen my heart. 

I've been in San Antonio most of my life. I graduated from Clark in NISD and then went on to UTSA where I received my degree in early childhood education with a supplement in ESL. I spent a semester as a student teacher at Thornton Elementary in NISD and got hired upon graduation. While I enjoyed my time there, I'm really looking forward to starting my journey at Hidden Forest! 

I've been married to my husband, Cullen, for 5 years, and we have a beautiful 3 year old daughter named Cecilia. We also have 2 rescue dogs, Remi and Floyd. As a family, we love to spend time outside, have movie nights, and take road trips.

I can't wait for this year to start, so I can watch my students grow as they enjoy all that 2nd grade has to offer. Teaching is truly my passion, and I'm honored to be a part of your child's journey. This is going to be a great year!
