I am ecstatic and honored to be a member of the Coker community and faculty. This is my fourth year at Coker and I have enjoyed building relationships with the students, parents, and staff members.

I have been in education for 16 years. After graduating from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Master's in Curriculum and Instruction I began my career in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, NC. I worked there for 8 years as a 4th Grade teacher, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. While working in CMS I also went back to school and earned a Master's in Educational Leadership. In October of 2013 my family moved across the county to San Antonio, TX. After a year and a half in NISD I moved to my home district and Coker Elementary. I am grateful to be working in NEISD with all the students and families of Coker!!!!

My goal for your child is to continue to prepare them for middle school while fostering their love of learning and self-growth. Kids will have the chance for lots of hands on learning experiences as well as working in small groups to improve their 21st century skills. My goal is to create a classroom of life long learns that are well prepared to successfully continue their academic journey.

Parents, I understand that the first and last teacher in every child’s life is at home. I look forward to working with you to maximize your child’s success and growth this year as we prepare them for the challenges of middle school. Together we can ensure the success of your child.
