¡Hola familia Bobcat!

Mi nombre es Denise González y estoy muy emocionada de unirme a la familia de la escuela primaria Stone Oak este año como maestra de lenguaje dual de quinto grado. Estaré enseñando artes del lenguaje y lectura en español de quinto grado, así como también estudios sociales.

Soy originaria de Puerto Isabel, Tx y fui muy afortunada de tener la oportunidad de crecer en la hermosa costa del Golfo de México. En 2006 obtuve mi Licenciatura en Artes en Justicia Criminal de la Universidad St. Mary's aquí en San Antonio, Tx. Soy la orgullosa mamá de tres niños: Jeffrey, Jonathan y Jacob.

Actualmente estoy certificada con la Certificación de Educadores del Estado de Texas en EC-6 Bilingüe con un respaldo de Ciencias de la enseñanza de la lectura. Tengo once años de experiencia docente en varios tipos de programas de educación bilingüe. La mayor parte de mi carrera docente he trabajado con estudiantes bilingües.

Hello Bobcat Family!

My name is Denise Gonzalez, and I am very excited to be joining the Stone Oak Elementary Family this year as a 5th grade Dual Language Teacher.  I will be teaching 5th grade Spanish Language Arts and Reading as well as Social Studies.  

I am originally from Port Isabel, Tx and was very fortunate to have the opportunity to grow up along the beautiful coast of the Gulf of Mexico.  In 2006 I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from St. Mary's University here in San Antonio, Tx.  I am the proud mom of three boys - Jeffrey, Jonathan, and Jacob.

Currently I am certified with the Texas State Board of Educator Certification in EC-6 Bilingual with a Science of Teaching Reading endorsement. I have eleven years of teaching experience in various types of bilingual education programs.  The majority of my teaching career I have worked with bilingual students.
