Mrs. Rosalia Castro Jaramillo

My name is Rosalia Castro, and I’m excited to be your child’s 4th-grade teacher in the dual language program. I’m originally from Bogotá, Colombia, and I moved to San Antonio with my family three years ago.

I have a Bachelor's in Media and Communication and a Master’s in Management and Economics. I’ve been passionate about education since 1996, having taught at universities in Colombia and Mexico. Fifteen years ago, I discovered the importance of social and emotional skill development and how it can truly change lives. I’ve worked on two incredible projects focused on character development as a cornerstone of quality education and even published a guide on parent-school partnerships.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy cooking, reading, swimming, hiking, knitting, and spending time with my family. I’m a proud mom of three—a daughter who’s just graduated from college, a son who is starting university, and a 12-year-old daughter.

I believe that every day is a new opportunity to make the most of life, and I look forward to sharing this journey with your child this year.
