  • Are students allowed to use the computers for gaming?

    Students are allowed to use the the computers for any school appropriate games before and after school. From  start of School bell to End of School  bell, students do not have permission to play any computers games.

  • When is the library open?

    The Ed White Middle School Library is open M-F from 7:45 am to 4:00 pm.

  • Do students need a pass to come to the library? Do students still need to sign in?

    Unless you are with your teacher, you will ALWAYS NEED TO SIGN IN (on the iPad) & you need a pass from your teacher.

     


    If you come in at lunch time, you will need a special library pass from Ms. Godoy or Ms. Rosado and YOU WILL STILL NEED TO SIGN IN!

     

    You do not need a pass to come into the library before school but YOU STILL NEED TO SIGN IN.

  • What are the library expectations for students?

    General Library Expectations

    • Sign in on the "Library Sign In" form on one of the iPads when you come in on your own.

     

    • When using our computers, follow the district technology usage policy.

     

    • Ask before printing! Please do not waste ink or paper.

     

    • Clean up after yourself.

     

    • Remember, this is a LEARNING center please use appropriate voice levels and manners.

     

    • Respect all library materials, the library staff and each other.

     

    • Food, gum and drinks are not allowed. Please throw them away in the trash can when you come in or finish them before you walk into the library.

  • What are checkout policies and procedures?

    Checkout policies and Procedures:

    - You can have 2 books checked out at a time (this does not include Overdrive/Sora books).

     

    - You may have them for 2 weeks. After two weeks, you will need to renew them.

     

    - New Magazines are NOT available for checkout. However, you are allowed to check out older editions.

     

    - You can renew 1 time before the books are due. You can even renew online!

  • What if a student damages or loses a book?

    Although there are no overdue fines, It is the responsibility of the student/parent to pay for lost or damaged books unless circumstances warrant otherwise. See Ms. Godoy or Ms. Rosado for more clarification.

  • What clubs and/or activities does the library offer?

    We have both Before school Clubs and 6th Lunch Clubs!
