What can I do if I need technology for my child?
There is no plan to offer distance learning for pre-k at this time. Thank you.

How can I qualify for pre-k?
If your child meets at least one the Texas qualifying criteria for Pre-K they can attend the Pre-K Academy at West Avenue for free.
- The child has a parent that is an active duty member of the armed forces of the U.S., including state military forces, or a reserve component of the armed forces who is ordered to active duty by
a proper authority. (DoD ID will determine eligibility.)
- The child qualifies for Free/Reduced
lunch, or receives SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), or Medicaid Free or Medicaid Reduced services. (Income or benefit information will determine eligibility). Free/Reduced Lunch Income Guidelines.
Child is unable to speak and comprehend the English Language. (The child will be given a language test to determine eligibility.)
Child is homeless. (A parent interview by Family Support Services will determine eligibility.)
Child is or has ever been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) following an adversary hearing. (DFPS documentation will determine eligibility.)
- The child has a parent who was injured, Missing in Action, or killed while serving on active duty of the armed forces of the U.S., including state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces. (Documentation from the DoD/Veterans Affairs will determine eligibility.)
- The child has a parent eligible for the Star of Texas Award as a peace officer, firefighter, or emergency medical first responder. (Documentation will determine eligibility.)

Can my three-year-old attend the Pre-K Academy?
3-year-old students are enrolled based on limited seat availability. Students must turn 3 by September 1 of the current school year to attend the program.

What are the age requirements to attend the Pre-K Academy?
A child must be at least three years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year (if a 3-year-old program is available) or four years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year.

What is the campus schedule?
Start/End Times are
7:30AM-2:45PM
Parents will be able to drop off students at 6:50 AMIf you have registered for KIN, our after-school program, students are directed to the KIN Director by 2:30 PM and the program ends at 6:30 PM.

If I don’t meet the qualifications for free pre-k, can I still come to the Pre-K Academy?
Yes, you can attend the Pre-K Academy as a tuition-paying student.

Will students at the Pre-K Academy wear uniforms?
No, students at the Pre-K Academy will not wear uniforms.
Students will follow the elementary dress code.

How many students will be accepted into the Pre-K Academy?
The Pre-K Academy is the pre-k campus for Jackson-Keller, Dellview, Olmos, Colonial Hills, and Castle Hills Elementary. All students within this cluster will have an opportunity to attend the Pre-K Academy.
Open seats will be offered as tuition seats.
Students from other areas of the district may attend after applying, when space is available.

How much does the KIN after school program cost?
The North East Independent School District (NEISD) and the Kids’ Involvement Network (KIN) believe that a quality after school program is beneficial to every child. To that end, KIN offers financial assistance to eligible families to assure that cost is not a barrier. Eligibility is determined using the Federal Poverty Guidelines based on household income, household size, and number of children enrolled in the Program. If I live outside of the NEISD school District, can I still go to school at the Pre-K Academy?
No. The Pre-K Academy is only available to students who reside within North East ISD.

How do I apply to the Dual Language program?
