Having lived in the community as a child, I am humbled to lead this dynamic school. For over 15 years, I have served in various capacities, such as instructional assistant, classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. Through servant-leadership, I endeavor to empower the students, teachers, families, and stakeholders to continue the school’s remarkable success

I am honored to be able to continue the traditions and practices that make our school great. My goal is to work alongside the staff, PTA, parents, and community to continue this great momentum here at the Pre-K Academy. Having the opportunity to play a part in the opening of this wonderful school, I am confident we will continue to be successful and we as a team will collectively support the academic, social, and emotional growth for all of our students. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to have a solid foundation as they embark on their educational journey. With that, I commit to provide our students with an environment that is safe and conducive to learning in order to provide them the opportunity to excel.

I look forward to a great start to the school year and most importantly continuing to build a community of amazing students and engaged parents. Please feel free to call, email or stop by to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas you might have throughout the school year.

      Ms. Lisa Rosillo

I am starting my 23rd year in education and I am honored and excited to join the Pre-K Academy at West Ave Family.  Although I was born in southern California, I grew up in San Antonio. I am a proud graduate of University of Texas-SA earning a BS in Education and Masters in Arts in Early Childhood Education & Our Lady of the Lake University earning a Masters in Education in Educational Leadership.  I have had many different roles during my career, I started as a Pre-K teacher, moved into an Instructional Coach and then an ECE Educational Specialist.

My heart is in Early Childhood and with the “Littles.”  I feel the purpose of early childhood education is to provide children with strategies that help them develop the emotional, social and cognitive skills needed to become lifelong learners.  It is my priority to make sure each student leaves The Academy with the skills needed to be successful in kindergarten.
