Mr. Gabriel Bernal

Hi! I am Gabriel Bernal and I have been teaching art for 7 years. I am looking forward to sharing my experience and learning from students and colleagues along the way. I was born and raised in San Antonio and have been creating as long as I can remember. 

I graduated from UTSA in 2011 with my BFA and had a focus in studio art and painting. I enjoy working with all mediums and believe in leading by example. I am passionate about art and art education. Seeing artists and being able to help them realize their artistic goals by teaching them new skills and methods is what gives me the greatest joy. The most important thing to me is helping young artists develop their own personal style. 

Aside from teaching, I also produce art in my free time and love playing music as well. I also spend as much time possible being a husband and father to my three wonderful kids! My family is the biggest motivator to be the best version of myself every single day.
