Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Beverly Barkhurst and I am proud to be a Special Education Resource teacher at Redland Oaks. I am married with one son who is 13 years old and has special needs. He is the inspiration behind why I decided to become a teacher. I've learned a lot about special needs as a mom and as a teacher. I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I spent many years in management before becoming an educator. I was fortunate to be hosted by Redland Oaks for my student clinical internship and fell in love with the school and staff. I am so happy to be back at Redland Oaks and love working with my students.
