Mr. Zane W. Carroll

As a NEISD alumni and a member of the local community, I am personally vested in this school and take great pride in our students.  I have been teaching in the district for over 13 years.  I realize the potential for greatness in each one of our kids, and my goal is to help them find that in themselves and, if they so choose a career in art, develop and guide them further into that field. After graduating from NESA, I went on to earn a BFA in Art Education, Emphasis in Sculpture, at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver, CO. After receiving my Bachelor's, I was accepted to Texas Tech University where I earned a MFA in Sculpture and Drawing. Before teaching for NEISD, I taught at Texas Tech as an Adjunct Professor in Sculpture and Drawing.  I also continue to practice art and show my work to stay sharp on my skills so my students will know the latest and greatest. One of my last big projects involved a commission from the City of San Antonio for a sculpture installation downtown.  I am also a U.S. Army veteran of 9 years, first serving as a Combat Medic Enlisted and then a Combat Engineer Officer.  Please feel free to contact me for any reason. I love to hear from my parents and community!
