Mrs. Meg Bryson

I am so excited to be a part of the Redland Oaks community for another year. I grew up in New Jersey and went to college at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania. I majored in Animal Behavior and used to work with animals. I even worked here at the San Antonio Zoo almost twenty years ago! I shifted careers and found my passion in the world of special education. I have been teaching in elementary special education programs for over fifteen years. I received my Master’s degree in Special Education with a focus on Autism from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  There I taught in the fifth largest school district in the country for five years, working with 3rd-5th graders on the autism spectrum. After my time in Nevada, I moved to Seattle, Washington, where I taught in a self-contained autism program with 2nd-5th graders for the next four years. My family moved to San Antonio in 2016 and I was excited to become a part of the Redland Oaks staff. My daughter attended Redland Oaks and loved being a Raccoon! San Antonio and Redland Oaks have become my home, and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to work with the amazing students and families here.
