Hello, Northern Hills Families! Welcome back for the 2023-2024 school year! My name is Carl Groff and I have been educating elementary students for twenty-eight years. This will be my 25th year at Northern Hills, but my first year teaching fourth grade. I am super excited for this opportunity to teach fourth grade math and science! I have lived in San Antonio my entire life. I graduated from UTSA in 1994 with a BBA in accounting. Then I obtained my teacher's certification. I am proud to say I am a product of an NEISD school, graduating from Churchill High School in 1990. I have two awesome sons and a wonderful wife! My oldest son graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in civil engineering. Whoop! My younger son is a 2020 graduate of MacArthur High School. He is now a senior at Texas A&M, and he is in the Corps of Cadets. Both of my sons attended North East schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade which well-prepared them for college. When I am not busy teaching I enjoy watching sports and spending time outdoors. I love hiking in state and national parks. I am looking forward to an awesome school year with my new students as we LEVEL UP at Northern Hills!
