Ms. Torres

Hello! I’m Vanessa Torres.  My journey in the world of education began with my deep-rooted connection to East Terrell Hills Elementary, where I once roamed the hallways as a child and have now returned as a teacher to inspire other students.

A remarkable aspect of my educational journey is my involvement in the school district's very own after-school care program, known as 'K.I.N' . I dedicated four years to this program working part time during my college undergrad , with children of all ages, from Pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade. This experience equipped me with a profound understanding of the needs, and potentials of children at different stages of development.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M San Antonio, a testament to my unwavering dedication to academic excellence. With two years of experience in the education field under my belt as a teacher,  I have taught both Pre-Kindergarten and 3rd grade, showing my versatility and adaptability to different age groups. My teaching philosophy centers around creating a nurturing and engaging environment that fosters creativity and a love for learning in my students. I look forward to working with you and your student(s) this year.
