Laura Stephenson

Laura Stephenson is a native Houstonian, but has spent the last 13 years all over Texas (and New Mexico!). She grew up dancing and eventually studied Dance at Sam Houston State University. Laura returned to higher education to study history at the University of Houston and graduate school at Rice University. She has taught A LOT of different things at the middle school and high school level  (history, dance, cheer, photography, home economics, and AVID) over the last few years, but has found a home in the Special Education department here at Hidden Forest. She is currently finishing her master's degree from Schreiner's University in Curriculum and Instruction.

Laura and her husband (Nathan) have two boys who happen to attend Hidden Forest. They enjoy camping, hiking, and traveling. The Stephensons hope to travel to as many National Parks as they can in the next 10 years. 

In her free time, Laura enjoys gardening, tending to her flock of chickens, and practicing ariel yoga.
