Mrs. Jaime Andrews
Hi! My name is Jaime Andrews and I am beginning my 22nd year at Camelot Elementary School. I have taught kindergarten for 8 years, 1st grade for 4 years, 3rd grade for four years. This is my 6th year teaching 2nd grade. I am a proud member of the House of Isibindi. We are known for our courage and loyalty.
In 2002, I graduated cum laude from the University of Texas - Pan American with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a specialization in Early Childhood. I obtained my ESL certification in 2005. In 2008, I was selected as Camelot's Teacher of the Year and again in 2015. I love working at Camelot and building relationships with students and parents. I am fluent in Spanish and I love the fact that I can communicate with my students' Spanish speaking parents.
I have been married for 17 years. I have 3 beautiful kids ages 12, 5, and 4. They bring so much joy to my life. We also have one energetic dog named Rocky.
I like watching movies and listening to all types of music. My brain is filled with song lyrics and movie quotes! :-D I love the Spurs and the Cowboys. My favorite holiday is Christmas. I am excited about teaching second grade and look forward to a fabulous school year!
