Stahl volunteers spread their message of service to others

What does it mean to be part of the WATCH D.O.G.S.?

Parents, guardians and family members at Stahl Elementary School heard about the impact they can make as a volunteer on campus straight from the source. The recent recruitment night included fun and games, from crossword puzzles to UNO and plenty of pizza.

It was enough to get the whole family excited about the great things happening at Stahl. Family Specialist Lorraine Cirlos-Martinez enjoyed watching the current WATCH D.O.G.S. share what they enjoy about the role with others.

“It was an amazing event and it was great to see so many dads, granddads, uncles and adult brothers eager to want to be a part of this program,” said Cirlos-Martinez. “I had some of our current WATCH D.O.G.S. talk about their experience and answer questions from their point of view.”

The Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program is available at many of our elementary schools. Positive male role models can get involved during morning drop off and afternoon pick up. They can also assist in the lunch room or playground, and help monitor the hallways.
