Application Lottery Process
- Complete the NEISD Magnet Application
- All San Antonio students, regardless of school district boundaries, are eligible to apply; however, a heavier weight will be given to NEISD students.
- The application will gather contact information, demographic data, 8th grade coursework, and an optional video submission which should explain a student’s reasoning for applying. This video will not determine a student’s placement in the program.
- After the application is submitted, a weighted lottery system considers the student and parent data along with school demographic data. The weighted lottery will accept students randomly, but will ensure acceptance aligns to the NEISD demographic percentages for at-risk and economically disadvantaged populations.
