B.A. Elementary Education Carthage College M.A. Reading Texas A&M-San Antonio

Mrs. Janna Michalak

I began my path to teaching at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, studying elementary education and Spanish. Upon graduation, I started teaching as a bilingual kindergarten teacher in the Chicago area, where I taught for two years. Wanting to experience the older students, I moved on to teach 7th/8th grade Spanish. Unfortunately, this only lasted a year, because I made a move from Chicago (my hometown) to San Antonio, Texas! I taught 5th grade reading for two years in Floresville ISD. After that, I made a move to North East ISD where I have taught both 4th and 5th grades.

My greatest passion (besides my family :) ), is teaching! I love coming to work each and every day to help students become the absolute best person they can be! This career has taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of surrounding ourselves with people who share the same goals. I hope to instill these qualities in the students that I have the privelege to teach.

I am here to assist you and your family in any way that I can. I welcome your input and appreciate your support! Please contact me whenever you need!
