Mrs. Chastity Alvarez

Hello Bronco family, my name is Chastity Alvarez, and I'm excited to be joining you all for the 2024-2025 school year as a Special Education Teacher! Although I am new to the district, I do have five years of previous teaching experience, including one year as a general education teacher and four years as a special education teacher in a Title 1 school. I've worked with students in all grades at some point, but mostly with 5th-8th grade. My journey to become an educator was not typical, I actually began college as an Engineering Management major and had to change my major Junior year after doing a volunteer project, which required me to tutor students during the school day. At that pivotal time, I realized being in the classroom was what I was supposed to do; since then, I have been dedicated to this profession. 

Other than being a teacher, I am also a wife and mother. My husband and I have been together almost ten years, and we have two daughters that are under the age of 6. We love to do family movie nights and family outings. My hobbies currently include: creating customized accessories and apparel with my Cricut machine, shopping, and reading.
