AMP Dual Credit Opportunities
AMP offers students dual credit opportunities in the following courses:
- 8269A: Advanced Animal Science
- 8278A: Floral Design
- 8263A: Wildlife, Fisheries and Ecology Management
- 8275A: Horticultural Science
- 8280A: Agribusiness Management and Marketing
Through a partnership with Palo Alto College, students can earn college credits while completing AMP coursework:
- 8269A: 3 credits in Animal Science (fall) and 3 in Livestock Evaluation I (spring)
- 8278A: 3 credits in Floral Design (fall) and 3 in Advanced Floral Design (spring)
- 8263A: 3 credits in Wildlife Conservation and Management (spring)
- 8275A: 3 credits in Principles of Horticulture (spring)
Successfully completed dual credit applies toward an associate's degree and may transfer to other colleges.
Eligibility
Students must qualify for Alamo Colleges admission and meet all TSI and deadline requirements. Students must be in 9th-12th grade to apply.
Course 8280A: Agribusiness Management and Marketing partners with Tarleton State for 3 credits in Introduction to Agricultural Economics. This is a dual-enrollment course with additional college coursework. Students must apply and be accepted to Tarleton State to participate.
