Mrs. Isabel Neri

Hello!

I'm a new teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing (abbreviated as TODHH) at Churchill High School. My role as a TODHH at Churchill will be as a case manager and co-teacher for students who are deaf/hard of hearing. I am a co-teacher for math, science, and social studies classes. I am also the lead DHH teacher for math.

I am originally from Houston, Texas (Go, Astros!), and moved back to San Antonio in 2019. My husband graduated from MacArthur High School and teaches high school science in San Antonio ISD. Spending time outdoors with my husband and three children is my favorite thing to do! We go on bike rides, runs, and walks along the beautiful trails in the San Antonio area.

My educational background is in foreign language acquisition. I am trilingual in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. I was inspired to become a TODHH by my oldest son who is deaf and wears bilateral cochlear implants. My family and I have been on a special journey and I'm excited to share and learn with other parents and teachers in the San Antonio community. I have worked with a variety of age groups in language development, and I'm super excited to enhance my ASL skills here at Churchill and to support your child's education! Go, Chargers!

¡Hola!

¡Gracias!
