Ms. Kaitlyn Hesseltine

Welcome to our Pre-K family! My name is Kaitlyn Hesseltine and I am so excited to be your child's Pre-K teacher this year! I will work alongside Mrs.Rinner and you all to create a strong foundation for your child's future success. This is my 3rd year serving as Pre-K team leader and my 2nd year on the Campus Improvement Committee.

This will be my 6th year in the classroom and my 3rd year with Northeast ISD and Larkspur. All of my experience is centered around Pre-K education and includes Early Childhood Special Education as well as English as a Second Language. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and moved to Boerne in 2008. I graduated from Champion High School in 2011, then from UTSA in 2017.

Outside of school I enjoy crocheting (my favorite hobby!), road cycling in support of a cure for Multiple Sclerosis, playing video games,  working on puzzles, gardening, and spending time with my pets. I have four ferrets (Puppet, Tunafish, Willow, and Squeasel), two horses (Buddy and Nola), a dog (Kallie), and an array of reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates. In the summer I enjoy spending time at the beach.

ClassDojo is our main form of communication--please join for the latest news and updates on our classroom. This platform is the teacher/parent equivalent of text messaging and allows us to create an online portfolio showcasing your child's growth and achievement. Parent conferences are held by request and may be held virtually or in person. You may also email or call at any time--I will respond within 24 hours.

I look forward to working with you and your child this year!
