Being of service and helping others is what I love! I consider it a privilege to be in a position that allows me to be a resource for Larkspur families and our community.

As Family Specialist, my primary goal is to remove obstacles to academic success and these obstacles are unique for every individual. I am proud to say that we at Larkspur have wonderful community partnerships that contribute to our success. Students and families can count on assistance for supplies, clothing, food, mentors, and a wide range of other resources. I take pride in being able to address the unique, and sometimes complex, needs of our families.

My commitment to the community service field began when I was earning my BA in Social Studies Composite at UTPA and worked at UTPA Valley Outreach Center’s – Mother-Daughter Program. I enjoyed working with families and schools so much that I decided to make this my career. After graduating from UTPA, I entered the non-profit sector where I served families for almost 10 years and gained a lot of experience working with community resources.
