Mrs. Jet Salazar-Licon

Hello and peace to you!  I am commonly referred to as "Mrs. Jet" around our amazing campus.  I have been a Special Education teacher a year shy of 3 decades, with 19 years of that delivered here in the United States of America.  I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines.  I received my teaching degree from the finest and world-recognized university from my country, The University of the Philippines.   I am happily married to the man of my dreams and we share an adult son who studied and now resides in Austin.  Hook 'Em Horns!

I love what I do and cannot imagine myself outside of the classroom.  I love learning with students and continue to enrich my skills with new and trending strategies to address student needs.  I am very  receptive to constructive input.  I believe that clear and consistent  communication is key to my students' success and I try my very best to make this happen in school with my students and colleagues as well as our parents/caregivers at home.
